cover up!

I’m usually a shorts-and-a-tank-top-cover-up kinda girl. But looking at these cover ups make me want to put a little more effort into my beach/poolside attire. And I mean little. Its nice how one easy addition can take you straight from the pool to a nice dinner in 10 minutes flat. The great thing about these is how polished they look after adding some stylin’ shoes and a fun piece of jewelry. Here are a few favorites…

classic silk

Silky cover ups feel extra special. Especially when you mix patterns and add a glam pair of shades or some fancy wedges.

cool kimono

Kimonos feel so exotic and fun to me. Ever since I was a little girl in the 80s, I’ve associated them with artsy sophisticated women, like Andie’s friend Iona in Pretty in Pink, or Annie’s Miss Hannigan (ok, not sophisticated or artsy, but I love her anyway. Carol Burnette can do no wrong, amIright?) Anyway, here are some of my favorite kimonos.

groovy crochet

This style is definitely making a comeback.  Crochet cover ups for me, conjure visions of Bond Girls or mod super models. And while the heavier pieces may be a little heavy for Florida summers, they are perfect for those cooler late-summer evenings. You know, in October…
